Abstracts Submission Guidelines

HOWEVER please note that you can choose bank transfer as payment option for your registration, and it is okay to delay payment until you know whether your abstract has been accepted

More than 50% of the programme is dedicated to selected abstracts because we want to ensure that the best and most current research is presented. A large panel of international moderators reviews abstracts so that every abstract receives at least 3 reviewer scores.

Abstract submission guidelines: Make sure your abstract is in, on time and in the right format by following these simple steps:

1: Your abstract should be no more than 250 words and should be in English.

2: Abstracts should be continuous text and not split up into subheadings such as "introduction, methods, results"

3: Keep your title concise and informative and only use capital letters for the beginning of a sentence or an acronym/name. DO NOT USE CAPITAL LETTERS FOR YOUR ENTIRE TITLE.

4: All authors’ names should be listed in full and a presenting author should be identified. Please note the email address supplied when you submit your abstract will be used for all correspondence pertaining to the abstract.

6: Addresses should be in the following format: Group, Department/Institute, Organisation, Town/City,

7: Do not include acknowledgements or references in your abstracts – these will be included in your word count.

5 reasons to register to the ESM Congress

There are no shortages of compelling reasons why attending ESM meetings is beneficial to you and your lab or institution!
Following are the many benefits you can present to your supervisor.

Be exposed to the entire breadth of your research field. Learning about the advances and breakthroughs in other focuses of study can translate to new approaches for your own lab’s work that you may not think to explore without this exposure. ESM is the best place to gain a broad perspective on the field.

Bring information and training back to the lab. Findings presented at the conference can be shared with other lab and team members to extend the benefits of attending to your entire research group.

Learn about the newest data and tools from the poster sessions and the exhibition. Labs save time and money by improving their research methods. New tools and technologies are unveiled to attendees of ESM meeting.

Investigate potential opportunities for collaborations or develop relationships with other organisations on behalf of your research team. ESM provides ample opportunity to meet with attendees with similar interests.

Present your work to an audience. Attendees who present at ESM’s meeting receive excellent exposure for their work and their lab.

Rogner Hotel Tirana: A part of Albania’s recent history

Rogner Hotel is located in the city center of Tirana. As part of the Main Boulevard the Prime Minister’s and Parliament offices are the direct neighbors of the hotel. All major ministries and embassies are within walking distance as are the main downtown shopping areas of Tirana.

In the early 1990ies, just after the birth of the new state of Albania, Robert Rogner, creative Austrian builder, visionary and entrepreneur decided to invest in the young republic. A sheep pasture, close to the President’s office in Tirana, became the biggest building site of the town. Kommerzialrat Robert Rogner, founder of Rogner International, once again started building a bridge to a place that had been out of reach until then.

Due to the poor economic situation and resources all the necessary construction materials, machines and expertise had to be shipped into Albania via Trieste. 120 Albanian workers and employees were especially trained in Austrian technical colleges to build the first hotel according to international standards. In 1995 the first guests could be welcomed in the Rogner Hotel Tirana.

How to get there?

Tirana is serviced daily by various European airlines.

Shuttle Service: We offer a shuttle service from Tirana Airport; shuttle service for groups is possible on request. Depending on the time of the day, itinerary from the airport to the hotel takes between 20 to 45 minutes.
