Dario Garcia de Viedma

I am responsible for the Genomic Microbiology Laboratory in Gregorio Marañón Hospital, Madrid, Spain. My research interests are the fast integration of genomic analysis in tuberculosis, coupled to epidemiological interviews, to tailor control interventions, according to the genomic features of each cluster. We are applying this intervention model to tuberculosis control in socio-epidemiologically complex populations, with a high rate of migrants, and replicating equivalent strategies to survey transmission of MDR bacteria in the nosocomial setting.
